Elena Iuga is a Romanian-born attorney who has been practicing law for 23 years and has built a career centered on civil litigation, client advocacy, and courtroom practice. She moved to the United States nearly 26 years ago, bringing with her a legal education, a strong work ethic, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families navigating life in a new country.

Elena earned her law degree in Romania and later obtained a Master of Laws in Comparative Law in the United States, giving her a unique legal perspective shaped by both European and American legal systems. Her background allows her to approach legal problems with discipline, adaptability, and a broad understanding of how different legal systems analyze rights, responsibilities, and remedies.

Elena is licensed to practice law in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and New York. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Elena currently practices at Right Path Law Group, where she represents injured clients in personal injury matters, including motor vehicle collisions, liability disputes, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, wage loss claims, and settlement negotiations. She joined Right Path Law Group in December 2025.

Throughout her career, Elena has developed significant litigation experience across multiple areas of civil practice. Her background includes personal injury, legal malpractice, domestic relations, probate matters, commercial disputes, landlord-tenant matters, debt collection, appellate brief writing, and regulatory compliance matters. She has handled cases from intake and case evaluation through discovery, motions practice, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and trial.

Before joining Right Path Law Group, Elena worked at Becker Kellogg and Berry, P.C. from June 2024 through October 2025, where she litigated and negotiated more than 150 personal injury cases to resolution and independently managed more than 50 active litigation cases at one time.

Earlier in her career, Elena handled complex plaintiff’s legal malpractice actions in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and New York, including matters arising from whistleblower protections, immigration, white-collar criminal law, trusts and estates, domestic relations, and business and corporate law. She also litigated family law matters, probate disputes, civil and commercial cases, and served as outside counsel for an international labor union.

Elena’s Romanian heritage and immigrant experience are an important part of her identity as an attorney. She understands the importance of clear communication, trust, and practical guidance, particularly for clients who feel overwhelmed by the legal system. Her approach is direct, thorough, and client-focused: she works to make sure clients understand their rights, their options, and the strategic decisions that shape their cases.

Elena is fluent in Romanian and French and conversational in Spanish.
