Jimmy Lippert Thyden González is an attorney who passionately defends those accused of criminal
offenses. He earned a Masters of International Human Rights Law from American University
Washington College of Law; a Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law; and a
Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in interdisciplinary studies focusing on criminal
justice, business, and Christian ministries.
Prior to attending law school Jimmy served in the United States Marine Corps for 19 years. He also
served as a pastor in his local community of Oceanside, California, and was a criminal investigator
for the Public Defender office in San Diego California.
While in law school, Jimmy worked with multiple public defender offices throughout New York at
both the state and federal level. After graduation Jimmy returned home to Northern Virginia and
served in two Public Defender offices prior to moving to private practice. He is admitted to practice
in state courts of Virginia, Federal Immigration Courts, as well as the Veteran Court of Appeals.
Jimmy believes strongly in representing his clients zealously in all types of cases, from simple traffic
infractions to felonies. He serves on the assigned counsel program because he believes the best
legal services should be available to all people indiscriminate of their socioeconomic status.
Jimmy Lippert Thyden González was born in Santiago, Chile and was raised in Arlington Virginia. His
hobbies include cooking, woodworking, and hiking with his family.
